Prof. Björn W. Schuller, IEEE&ACM Fellow

Björn W. Schuller received his diploma, doctoral degree, habilitation, and Adjunct Teaching Professor in Machine Intelligence and Signal Processing all in EE/IT from TUM in Munich/Germany where he is Full Professor and Chair of Health Informatics.   He is also Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence and the Head of GLAM at Imperial College London/UK, co-founding CEO and current CSO of audEERING – an Audio Intelligence company based near Munich and in Berlin/Germany, Core Member in the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI), Principal Investigator in the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML), Fellow of the Imperial Data Science Institute,   and permanent Honorable Dean at TJNU/China and Visiting Professor at HIT/China amongst other Professorships and Affiliations.   Previous stays include Full Professor and Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Health Care and Wellbeing at the University of Augsburg/Germany, independent research leader within the Alan Turing Institute as part of the UK Health Security Agency, Guest Professor at Southeast University in Nanjing/China, Full Professor at the University of Passau/Germany, Key Researcher at Joanneum Research in Graz/Austria, and the CNRS-LIMSI in Orsay/France.

Prof. Mohamad Sawan, IEEE Fellow

Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, Fellow of the Royal Society of Sciences of Canada

Mohamad Sawan is an internationally renowned scientist in the field of smart medical devices. He has made significant contributions in implantable and wearable medical devices based on smart microsystems. Professor Sawan got a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Sherbrooke in 1990, was a postdoc fellow in Biomedical Engineering in McGill University in 1991, and was assistant professor, associate professor and full professor from 1991 to 2018 in Polytechnique, the Engineering School of University of Montreal. He joined the School of Engineering of Westlake University as a Chair Professor in 2018, he is the Founder and Principle Investigator the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Research on Advances-in-Chips Neurotechnologies (CenBRAIN Neurotech) in Westlake University.




Prof. Mohamad Fawzi Mahomoodally

Professor of Health Sciences, University of Mauritius


Mohamad Fawzi Mahomoodally holds a life sciences degree and is a Harvard University alumnus. He is an extraordinary professor for the Centre of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Sciences at North-West University in South Africa.  He is also a visiting professor (China and Vietnam). He was the head of department, TWAS-ROSSA Young Affiliate, member of the Global Young Academy, recipient of the Young Promising Scientist from Mauritius to TWAS/BVA.NXT Biovision 2012, and an ASM Leadership fellow in the USA (2013). He was among the top 25 Young Scientists to attend the ‘Food Future-ICSU meeting in Italy, was nominated as a Young Ambassador member of the Young Leader’s Circle, and Country Ambassador to the American Society for Microbiology.

Prof. Jue Liu

Peking University, China

Dr. Jue Liu is a research professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Public Health, Institute for Global Health and Development, Peking University, and senior visiting scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is the Vice Dean of Peking University Institute of Environmental Medicine, the Deputy Director of Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, and the Deputy Director of Peking University Health Science Center-Weifang Joint Research Center for Maternal and Child Health. Her research interests are mainly in 1) Epidemiology of infectious diseases and 2) Big data research and application in health. She is the founder of the Global Big Data Platform for Major Infectious Disease Prevention, Control, and Management (BIG-MID), and founder director of an international academic network-Global Consortium for Study on Prevention, Control and Management of Major Infectious Diseases (GCSMID), to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration in this field globally. She has acted as Principal Investigator of more than 30 national projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Health Commission of China, etc.. She has published more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers as first or corresponding author, including many Top journals Lancet, BMJ, Lancet Infect Dis, Lancet Global Health, Lancet Psychiatry, etc.. 





Prof. Ram Bilas Pachori,Department of Electrical EngineeringIndian Institute of Technology Indore, IEEE Senior Member

His research interests include signal and image processing, biomedical signal processing, non-stationarysignal processing, speech signal processing, brain-computer interface, machine learning, and artificial intelligenceand the internet of things in healthcare. He was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Systemsand Rehabilitation Engineering (2021-2024). Currently, he is an Associate Editor of Electronics Letters, IEEEOpen Journal of Engineering in Medicine and Biology, Computers and Electrical Engineering, and Biomedical SignalProcessing and Control. He is also serving as a Handling Editor of Signal Processing and an Editor of IETETechnical Review journal. He is a Fellow of IETE, IEI, and IET. He has authored the textbook titled “TimeFrequency Analysis Techniques and their Applications” (CRC Press, 2023). He has supervised 21 Ph.D. theses(12 Ph.D. theses under progress). He has 352 publications, which include journal articles (220), conferencepapers (91), books (11), and book chapters (30). He has also eight patents, including two granted (Australianpatent and Indian patent) and six published (Indian patents). His publications have been cited approximately17500 times with h-index of 72 according to Google Scholar.

Assoc. Prof. Vincent Cheng Siong Lee

FIEAust, IEEE Senior Member    Monash University, Australia

Professor Lee's multidisciplinary research spans IT, digital health, signal/image processing, Fintech, learning analytics, interpretable artificial intelligence, deep machine learning, computer vision, multi-agent autonomous systems for sustainable environmental development. He has published more than 200 papers in sciago Q1 journals such as IEEE TSP, IEEE TKDE, IPM, Neural computing, Expert Systems and Applications, building automation, CACIE, Biomedical Computer Methods and programs, etc. Core A/A* IC conferences: AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, ICWS, ICDE, PAKDD, CIKM, ACM KDD, ACMMM, IEEE IC Signal Processing, etc. Lee has been a keynote speaker at several IEEE/ACM flagship conferences and served as General Chair/Co-Chair of the Steering and Technical Program Committee. He has supervised the completion of 28 doctoral degrees.
